Kym Marsh celebrated Meghan Markle and Jess Hayes for being open about miscarriage.

The Duchess of Sussex sparked conversation about miscarriage after she penned her own grief over her baby loss in a moving letter in the New York Times.

On the other side of the world, Jess of Love Island fame confided in her Instagram followers that she had lost her baby boy Teddy at 19 weeks of pregnancy.

Reflecting on both tragic experiences, Kym said her "heart breaks" for women who have miscarriages.

However, the 44-year-old star took the "positive is that women are being more open about baby loss" now.

Heartbroken, the former Coronation Street star had lost her own baby Archie in 2009 and her world come crashing around her.

It was only after she reached out to others, she said, that she found it helped her with mourning the loss of her son.

She wrote in her OK magazine column: "I found it very hard to open up about my son Archie after he died. I didn't know how to reach out at first. But as soon as I did, it helped the healing process so much."

Kym addressed in her column how women feel their bodies have failed them when they have a miscarriage.

The actress and mother shared how a woman's guilt over miscarriage can tear her apart.

She went on: "I noticed that in her Instagram post about the loss, Jess said to her son she was sorry she couldn't keep him safe for a little while longer. This is such a common emotion.

"Women feel like their body has failed them. It's our job to keep our babies safe and we feel we've left them down. This is another reason why speaking about baby loss is vital. It's not the mother's fault and guilt can tear you apart."

In a final loving note of her column, Kym sent her love and best wishes to Jess and her family.

Jess has been keeping her fans updated as she gets support from her closest family and friends.

Her latest post read: "Never have I been so grateful to have this sweet boy of mine , he’s given me a reason to be strong a reason to carry on.

"I’ve told him all about his little brother and how he will watch over and look after him. I will make sure I make them both proud."
