Corrie star Kym Marsh has hit out at a troll who targeted her castmate Tina O'Brien in a cruel, fat-shaming verbal attack.
The troll wrote that Tina should be "ashamed" and questioned if she'd had a "fat transplant" when snaps emerged of her taking a stroll through Manchester in a pair of denim shorts.
Tina rose above the nasty comment, saying she feels "love and gratitude" for her body.
And now Kym has weighed in, writing the incident had made her feel "angry and saddened."
Taking to her OK! magazine column, the Michelle Connor actress slammed the troll's cruel words and heaped praise on Tina's "amazing figure."
She added: "Unfortunately, social media has made people in the public eye much more accessible.
"I've suffered horrific trolling and it's one of the worst parts of fame. People feel they have the right to critique or comment on anything and everything."
Replying to the comment, Sarah Platt actress Tina composed a calm but stern answer, asking: "I should feel ashamed?
"And we wonder why people, especially women struggle with self esteem.
"Instead I choose to feel love and gratitude for my healthy body that allows me to run around the garden with my son and bounce on the trampoline with my daughter.
"I choose love and acceptance."
She was soon flooded with messages of love and support from fans.
"You look fabulous," one commented, "Always ignore those comments from people in the cheap seats."
"Where are these people looking? You look fabulous," another gushed.
"If I looked like you I'd be absolutely in love with my body!" a third remarked, "You look amazing."
