EXCLUSIVE: The Aussie singer, 52, described the catastrophe as 'so sad' and jumped at the chance to be a part of the fundraiser
Kylie Minogue is joining forces with musician Mika for a special concert in a bid to raise funds for the victims of the Beirut explosion in Lebanon.
The Aussie singer, 52, described the catastrophe as "so sad" and jumped at the chance to be a part of the fundraiser.
Kylie is set to join big names like Salma Hayek, Rufus Wainwright and Etel Adnan to perform on 19th September to do their bit to help struggling victims.
Speaking about the opportunity to put on a united front with Mika for a good cause, Kylie said: "Mika and I have been friends for a while, so when he asked me to be part of his 'I love️ Beirut' project of course I said yes!"
She added: "The situation in Lebanon is so sad, but I hope this event will raise lots of money to support the incredible work of Save The Children and The Red Cross and their teams working on the ground in Beirut.
"I'm so happy to be part of it."
Mika - who was born in Beirut - is set to lead the concert later this month, which fans can catch on YouTube across four time zones in aid of those affected by the explosion.
All the funds raised from ticket sales and donations to the GoFundMe campaign will be split between Lebanese Red Cross and Save the Children.

The singer was left devastated following the explosion that took more than 180 lives on August 4th.
What's more, thousands were left with life-changing injuries and many are still in need of urgent basic assistance, shelter and medical care.
Announcing that Kylie is joining his gig as a guest performer, Mika penned: "I'm smiling as I write this! One of my all-time favourites, pop icon @kylieminogue will now be performing as part of the I Love Beirut stream.
"Thank you Kylie! #ILoveBeirut #Kylie."
Kylie shared the same promotional snap on her Instagram page, writing: "So pleased to help my friend @mikainstagram with a special performance on his #ILoveBeirut live stream available to view on 19th September!"
