Money can't buy you happiness, but it can buy you a completely different face and body thanks to the world's best stylists, surgeons, fitness trainers and beauticians.

Back in 2007, Kim Kardashian was just a relatively normal twenty-something trying to make her way in life as Paris Hilton's wardrobe organiser.

But 13 years on, the star - who turns 40 today - is one of the most photographed women in the world. And there's one part of her fans are more obsessed with than any other, and that's her bum.

Back when Kim was Paris' sidekick, her rump was just a regular Joe.

But like rings on a tree, as the years clocked up, so did the voluptuousness of Kim's famous bottom.

Her luscious rump quickly began attracting headlines of its own, and after much speculation, in 2011 Kim underwent an x-ray as a dare from sisters Khloe and Kourtney to silence the surgery suspicions once and for all.

"I've said numerous times 'I haven't had plastic surgery, I haven't had butt implants," Kim said during the episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians.

"Who the hell of a normal person gets butt implants?" she questioned before passing the x-ray test with flying colours.

As for that bum, she staunchly denies having had implants or injections, and even once had an x-ray done to prove it.

However, experts believe she's had fat grafted after undergoing possible liposuction on other areas of her body.

A surgeon from MYA.co.uk previously told Mirror Online that there are other ways to boost a bum that don't involve silicone implants.

"This does not rule out fat transfer/fat injections to the buttocks. This would not show on an x-ray as it is the patients' own body fat and not an implant," the spokesperson pointed out.

"It is possible she has had fat transferred from less desirable areas such as the waist or stomach and had it put into her buttocks and hips to create a curvier frame."

This is known as the Brazilian bum lift and costs in the region of £5-7,000.

Following the birth of her first daughter North in 2013, Kim trailblazed the 'belfie', posing in a white thong swimsuit which showed off her pert, peachy bum.

And the following year, she took it a step further when she broke the internet by posing for Paper Magazine with her bare bum covered in oil.

In one shot, she even used her behind as a table to prop a glass a champagne on, and that year she finally admitted to having butt injections - but for a very different reason.

According to Kim, she believes the speculation started because of pictures taken in 2007 which apparently showed her with an indentation on her bum.

The mark was an extremely rare side-effect of a cortisone injection she had to control her psoriosis.

“I went to go get a cortisone shot in my butt. One of my neighbors was a dermatologist at Cedars.

"I go in there and he’s like, ‘There’s a one in a billion chance that you will get a huge indent in your butt.’ Of course, I get a huge indent on my butt,” she said.

“There is a picture of me in Miami wearing an electric blue dress, and another picture of me walking down Robertson.

"You see the indent. And I think that’s when the rumors started: ‘She’s had implants."

Whatever the cause, there's no doubt her bottom has made her millions in endorsements, shoots and her famous peach bum Kimoji.

But nonetheless, she told London’s Vogue Festival in 2016 that she longs for her bum of yesteryear.

The mother-of-four said: “I want to lose my bum, not all the way but it’s weird how your body changes with different babies.

“I want to get to Kim 2010-11 so I’m really going to focus and get there.
