Kim Kardashian has admitted Kanye West refuses to take medication for his bipolar disorder but insists she "knows how to handle" his "episodes".
The rapper hit headlines this week when he burst into tears at his first presidential campaign rally in South Carolina and dropped the bombshell that Kim considered having an abortion when she was pregnant with their daughter North, seven.
Last night, Kanye went on a worrying Twitter rant in which he claimed Kim was trying to fetch a doctor to "lock me up".
Kayne Tweeted: "Kim was trying to fly to Wyoming with a doctor to lock me up like on the movie Get Out because I cried about saving my daughters life yesterday."
Kim has stayed silent on the drama enveloping her husband, but she has previously spoken out about his mental health issues after he was hospitalised for a "psychiatric emergency" in November 2016.
Despite the hip-hop star later denying his bipolar diagnosis, insisting he was just suffering from sleep deprivation, Kim later admitted he has accepted his condition.
In an interview with Vogue magazine, Kim explained her husband didn't want to take medication but she knew how to deal with his "episodes".
She said: "For him, being on medication is not really an option, because it just changes who he is.
"Traveling a lot does set it off, so he doesn't travel as much as he used to."
Kim added: "We can definitely feel episodes coming, and we know how to handle them."
The reality star went on to insist that she reasons with the rapper and does everything she can to support him and "calm the situation".
She explained: "I think some of the hurtful things that I read online: ‘What is she doing? She's not stopping him...'
"Like it's my fault if he does or says something that they don't agree with? That's my husband.
"I share every opinion that I have and let him know when I think something's wrong.
"Or if it comes to him being in the middle of a bipolar episode, I'll do everything to be supportive and help to calm the situation."
Kim is reportedly devastated over Kanye's abortion outburst at the rally and the rest of the family are deeply concerned about him.
A source told The Sun : "Kanye’s friends and family are concerned about him. They have seen this erratic behaviour before and ultimately fear a breakdown.
"They can only describe Kanye's current situation as a ticking time bomb.
