Forbes have declared that Kim Kardashian is wealthier than her youngster sister Kylie Jenner, who the magazine previously labelled the first self-made billionaire in history.

It comes after the wealth magazine revoked makeup mogul Kylie’s billionaire status during the summer after it was claimed that she had exaggerated her profits.

Forbes cast doubt on the claim by taking a look at her business ventures and takings over the years, which ruffled Kylie’s feathers.

Now, the publication has declared that the Kylie Cosmetics creator is significantly less wealthy than her older sibling Kim, who also boasts an array of beauty and fashion brands under her belt.

In their compilation of the world's richest ‘self-made women in 2020’, Forbes ranks mum-of-four Kim above Kylie with her net-worth for the year coming in at a whopping £597 million.

Meanwhile, the magazine claims that Kylie has made £536 million – falling short of her sister.

In the past, the publication has had both Kylie and Kim as cover stars.

Addressing the controversy over Kylie’s billionaire status, Jeffrey Ten, who has spent years in the cosmetics business, said: "You have to remember they are in the entertainment business.

"Everything in entertainment has to be exaggerated to get attention."

After the magazine revoked her title in 2019, Kylie took to Twitter to hit back at the claims.

She ranted: "What am I even waking up to? I thought this was a reputable site - all I see are a number of inaccurate statements and unproven assumptions lol. I’ve never asked for any title or tried to lie my way there EVER. Period."

Not stopping there, Kylie quoted from the Forbes article: "'Even creating tax returns that were likely forged' that’s your proof? So, you just THOUGHT they were forged? Like actually what am I reading."

Kylie continued on to say she was putting the drama behind her and focusing on what's important.

"But okay I am blessed beyond my years, I have a beautiful daughter, and a successful business and I’m doing perfectly fine," she quipped.

"I can name a list of 100 things more important right now than fixating on how much money I have," she added.
