Kim Kardashian bags part in Paw Patrol movie and says she's finally a 'cool mum'
The fashion designer, reality star and budding lawyer says of all the things she's done in her career, her starring role in Paw Patrol is how she's finally impressed her kids
Kim Kardashian has rejoiced in 'officially becoming a cool mum' after landing a part in the Paw Patrol movie.
After successfully dipping her toe in the realms of fashion, beauty, modelling and fragrance, having a 13 year reality TV career and being invited to the White House to discuss prison reform; Kim joked her Paw Patrol debut has finally impressed her four children.
The reality star, 39, has been cast in the upcoming big screen version of the popular kids' cartoon show, with her character soon to be revealed.
Kim will be joining other big names in the movie including chat show host Jimmy Kimmell and actor Tyler Perry.
Kim announced her latest film role on Twitter telling her fans, "I'm officially cool mom now to my kids! We're on a roll!"
It's not the first time Kim has appeared on the silver screen.
She made her movie debut in 2008's Disaster Movie before going on to star in Deep in the Valley, Ocean's 8 and Marry Me.
Despite Kim's hard graft, her daughter North caused much hilarity in 2018 when she asked her to explain why she was famous.
In an episode of Keeping up With the Kardashians, a confused North, seven, asked her mum why they're being followed by the paparazzi in their car.
Kim explained: "To get very technical - my name is Kim Kardashian. And Daddy is Kanye West.
"And Daddy is a singer, performer, artiste. Mummy... has so many talents I can’t even begin to name them."
Kim went on to address the moment on Jimmy Kimmel's chat show saying her children were beginning to understand a little more about what she and their dad Kanye do as day jobs.
"As they get older, we’ll continue to have that conversation and just explain to them," she revealed.
Mum-of-four Kim said that North is already beginning to get excited about her status as a mini-celebrity.
"The other day I took North to a wedding and she was rolling down the window and going, ‘Kim Kardashian’s in here!’ like, screaming to all the drivers, saying: ‘Hi! I’m North West! Kanye West is my dad!’ And I was just like, ‘Oh my gosh,’ rolling up the window and putting on the child lock."
Luckily, North and her siblings Psalm, Chicago and Saint will be able to watch their mum do her thing when her next movie is released next year.
The Paw Patrol movie will be based on the animated Nickelodeon series of the same name and it is set a theatrical release for 20 August 2021.
Production is currently ongoing with voice actors, the crew and producers all working remotely.
Paw Patrol first premiered in 2013 and focuses on a young boy named Ryder who leads a crew of search and rescue dogs who work on missions in Adventure Bay.
