Kim Kardashian and Kanye shrug off divorce rumours as they jet off for luxe trip

Kim Kardashian and husband Kanye West have jetted off for an exotic getaway with their kids in a bid to shrug off recent divorce rumours.

The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star, 39, and the rapper, 43, this year experienced major turbulence in their marriage - much of which took place in the public eye.

After several of Kanye's Twitter meltdowns and public apologies to Kim, the pair decided it was best to relax and recharge with their four children.

And it seems as though their first choice was the Dominican Republic, as Kim and Kanye took their kids North, seven, Saint, four, Chicago, two, and one-year-old Psalm to the stunning island for a mini break.

Taking to Instagram, Kim showed off just how fancy they like their trips to be.

Sharing two snaps with her 189 million followers, the brunette beauty penned: "Dinner Dates in the DR," alongside a wave emoji.

Kim can be seen embracing the island life with fresh braids in her hair, teamed with statement gold earrings and a dress to match.

Saint can be spied in the background hugging his mum during the photo op.

Meanwhile the second snap shows Kanye grin from ear-to-ear as the pair's eldest daughter North sits beside him.

It comes after Kim took to Instagram on Saturday and hinted that the stresses of the current year would soon be behind her, but also made reference to unnamed people trying to seize her happiness in a slightly cryptic post.

Taking to her Instagram Story, she penned: "A year from now, everything you're stressing about won't mean a thing."

She went on: "Be thankful, smile more, spend more time with family and don't stress the small things.

"This is our one chance at life. Don’t let anyone or anything take away your happiness."

Kim and Kanye's marriage has been deeply challenged after Kanye announced his intention to run for President of the USA in the upcoming 2020 election.

While on the campaign trail, Kanye made shock claims that he and Kim considered aborting their eldest child, North West, when Kim first realised she was pregnant with her daughter.

And the rapper went on to brand his mother-in-law Kris Jenner a white supremacist, accused his in-laws of trying to have him locked up by a doctor, and claimed he had been trying to divorce his wife for over a year.

His outbursts have been attributed to the fact he suffers from bipolar disorder – with Kim being praised for a compassionate post she shared online following her husband's shock comments.

Kanye later publicly apologised to his wife for his comments.
