Katy Perry has finally provided some context to that infamous paddleboarding session she and Orlando Bloom enjoyed back in 2016.
The pregnant singer - who is expecting her first child with fiancé Orlando - has given fans some information as to why she didn't go naked on the paddleboard - despite Orlando trying his best to convince her to.
Four years ago, Orlando sent shockwaves across the world after he was pictured paddleboarding completely nude off the coast of Sardinia.
Speaking to Howard Stern via video chat, Katy felt it was necessary to set the record straight about Orlando's famous naked snaps after Howard recalled meeting the actor years ago.
The talk show host said he teased Orlando about the nude snaps - and has now asked Katy why she didn't join him in going commando that day.
Katy revealed that her beau "tried to get me" to go nude paddleboarding, but despite his best efforts in trying to convince her, she just wouldn't do it.
And when Howard asked Katy if her reason for not going naked was because she sensed paparazzi closeby, she said she was just being "pragmatic".
She explained: "I mean, I would have never like set him up, if I had a real thought, but in the back of my mind... I am Jim Carrey in The Truman Show a little bit, so I thought maybe there would be a chance.
"I would say I'm a little more of the pragmatic in the partnership."
Katy went on to explain that Orlando wanted to fit in with the European locals, saying that there was a lot of nudity around them.
"Well it was Europe. And honestly we had had a pretty chill time for a week and everywhere we looked it was like everybody’s naked, it’s Europe, it’s Italy. And I think he wanted to fit in with the locals and it was the end of the trip."
It comes as Howard asked Orlando for his account of that day during their chat last year.
There was much made at the time about Orlando's physique, but the Pirates Of The Caribbean star played it down and said that he was fortunate that the camera angle showed him in his best light.
Orlando said: “It is really not that big. Things are expanded on cameras with a big optical lens. It is an optical illusion.
“The publicist called to say, ‘That is not the worst of it. First of all there were pictures with a block over it’."
He added: "And you make some jokes like, ‘Have you got a black box big enough to cover it’. And then you suddenly realise somebody is going to uncover the black box because they are going to be paid enough.
“It’s a triple whammy – photos, black box then no black box.”
