Katie Price shares that she and Carl Woods have new dog after pup Rolo suffocated
Katie Price and lover Carl Woods have got a new dog together named Sid, months after the glamour model's daughter Princess' pet pooch Rolo died in a tragic accident
Katie Price and boyfriend Carl Woods have added a new four-legged friend to their set-up.
The former glamour model, 42, took to Instagram on Friday to share a snap of her eldest son Harvey - who she shares with Dwight Yorke - cuddling the small caramel coloured pup and revealed that they had decided to name the dog Sid.
Mother-of-five Katie captioned the sweet offering: "So cute @officialmrharveyprice with @carljwoods dog which is my new furry edition to our family ️ go to Harvey insta page and see his videos and drawing."
Katie has been the owner of a number of pets in the past and her infamous 'Mucky Mansion' once housed an eclectic collection of animals that included dogs, cats, horses, lizards, guinea pigs and even a hedgehog.
However, she has not always had the best luck with her animals - most recently with dog Rolo.
Rolo was a puppy she bought for daughter Princess' 13th birthday and the tiny pet died just a few weeks after they took him home.
A source told The Sun the pooch had been found by Harvey's carer after a 'tragic accident.'
"It was a tragic accident nobody could have foreseen - it's no-one's fault but Katie can't stop crying," they revealed.
Katie later confirmed on her YouTube channel that Rolo had suffocated after getting stuck under an armchair.
The sad loss came just five months after Katie's Alsation Sparkle was killed by a car.
Tragedy struck after Sparkle escaped from Katie's home and was mown down on a busy road nearby.
Sparkle was said to have been hit by a car on the A24, which runs nearby her West Sussex 'mucky mansion'.
The busy dual carriageway has appeared troublesome for the former glamour model as one of her old dogs, Bear, ran onto the same road in February last year in a horrifying scare.
That pooch nearly succumbed to a terrible fate but was returned unharmed to the property by the police.
The year before, Katie and her kids were left heartbroken once again when their dog Queenie was killed by a 'heartless delivery driver'.
Katie claimed that security cameras outside her house capture footage of the incident and that the driver had hit Queenie before driving off without telling them of its distress.
Katie told her Instagram followers the news as she wrote at the time: "Very disappointed a human being can be this heartless! Security cameras show this and we have reported to police!
"DEVASTATED is a understatement."
