Katie Price has spoken in glowing terms about her ex Peter Andre as they look to reunite for a visit to see Harvey in hospital.
The 42-year-old former glamour model has hailed Peter for his efforts and has said he has really "stepped up" in their hour of need.
Katie's 18-year-old son Harvey was rushed to hospital more than a week ago when he was struggling to breathe and was placed in intensive care.
Harvey has since come out of ICT but remains in hospital after doctors found something that had previously not been known about.
The teenager has has the rare genetic disorder Prader-Willi Syndrome, is partially blind due to Septo-optic dysplasia, autistic, diabetic and has an underactive thyroid.
Speaking to New magazine, Katie said that Pete had been supportive during this time, which she described as 'scary' after Harvey was hospitalised.
She said: "Over the years we've had our ups and downs, but Pete has been really supportive about it."
Katie continued: "He's asked to go to the hospital. He can't do it without me, so he'll come and visit Harvey with me. How's that for an amazing improvement?
"Regardless of our ups and downs, the fact that he's stepped it up - I see his feelings as being really genuine."
The reality star also described how she felt when she could hear Harvey screaming "I want my mummy" as he lay in his hospital bed but she wasn't allowed to go to him.
Katie continued: "It's awful seeing him in there with all the tubes in him.
"And when they put him into intensive care, he was ill but he still managed to shout 'I want my mummy.'
"I was standing outside the room with Junior and they wouldn't let me in. It was horrible."
Katie has been hugely relieved by the improvement in Harvey's condition in recent days and he has been able to see some of his siblings.
Jett, six, and Bunny, five, from Katie's marriage to Kieran Hayler, have visited Harvey with Kieran hailing his former stepson as "such a fighter."
Katie's new boyfriend, former Love Island star Carl Woods, has also pitched in with the platitudes, describing Harvey as "a total warrior."
Peter Andre's children with Katie - Junior, 15, and Princess, 13 - are spending time with him as Katie goes to and from the hospital.
Harvey has been seen enjoying time with his younger siblings in a video posted on Instagram by Katie.
In it, Bunny give a rendition of Five Little Speckled Frogs, with Harvey joining in with few "ribbits".
With Jett hopping about, Katie and Harvey are seen laughing in a light-hearted moment but the teen knows when it is time to stop and says: "That's enough now Bunny."
