Katie Price is said to be terrified after being told she could lose a leg as she prepares for surgery, reports claim

The model, 42, recently broke her feet and ankles while on holiday in Turkey with boyfriend Carl Woods and her children.

She suffered hairline fractures and is expected to undergo an operation later this week.

And the bombshell is said to be worried after doctors gave her a terrifying warning ahead of the procedure.

A source told The Sun Online: “Katie's doctors have warned her she must take her recovery seriously and it's left her terrified.

"She's prone to getting infections after operations, and her surgeon says she could lose a leg if her feet get infected.

"She'll have to be so, so careful - she'll have medical professionals on call 24/7 - and change the dressings regularly.

"She's got a long road ahead of her.”

Yesterday, a representative for Katie Price confirmed for Mirror Online that she would be receiving surgery on both of her feet this week.

A source previously told The Sun that Katie will need urgent surgery later this week on her feet for them to heal in the healthiest way.

They told the paper: "She's going in this week and the surgery will be a huge job. She won't be able to walk for at least six months.

"Katie's devastated, obviously, but also hopeful that the sooner the surgery happens, the quicker she can start on the road to recovery."

The paper previously reported that Katie's full recovery could take up to two years.

This came after Katie revealed on Instagram that she had received "devastating" information after visiting the Fortius clinic in West London last week.

It is believed that she is unlikely to walk properly again until 2021, as her injuries are "worse than anyone realised."
