Kate Moss' first ever modelling snap - that was rejected by agents - resurfaces

EXCLUSIVE: Kate Moss' first ever modelling snap from the 90s has been unearthed after it was rejected by agents who didn't think she was good enough

A 16-year-old Kate Moss poses in hair curlers in a black-and-white shot – before shooting to fame as a supermodel.

A London gallery has unearthed a photo taken in 1990 which was rejected by a magazine for not having the look it wanted.

Kate is now 46 and being followed into the fashion world by her 17-year-old daughter Lila Grace. The photo is available to buy as a print from Zebra One Gallery.

The worldwide supermodel, whose face has been used on several Calvin Klein campaigns, looked outstanding in a skimpy black bodysuit and pointed heels.

She pretended to be on the phone in the glamorous vintage snap, showing off her effortless beauty.

Kate shot to fame in the 1990s when she was 14.

The starlet was discovered by Sarah Doukas - the founder of Storm model agency.

After her face became recognised from her work with Calvin Klein, Kate later made her first appearance in British Vogue in 1993.

The model has been famously tight-lipped about her rise to fame, but previously opened up about one of the snaps that marked her name in the industry.

She revealed the story behind the iconic snap of her lying nude on the couch - which helped her become the face of Obsession.

While it helped kickstart her career, Kate's own memories of the shoot shed a different light on the ad.

The image was shot by her then-boyfriend photographer Mario Sorrenti on a deserted island.

Speaking to ShowStudio, she revealed: "Calvin [Klein] saw Mario's [Sorrenti] book and it was pictures of me on holiday and stuff and so he was just like - great I can see it, it's obsession. Like he saw it - and it was obsession.

"I'd wake up in the morning and he'd be taking pictures of me, and I'd be like 'f**k off,'" she said.

The model added: "I laid like that for like 10 days, he would not stop taking pictures of that."

She admitted the shoot took a toll on their relationship.

Kate concluded: "We split up after that. When you're in a relationship with a photographer and they start abusing that relationship - and being like, 'I want you to do this, and I want you to do that' - it makes you go, 'No'.

"I didn't want to work all the time, but he'd be like 'Get up on the roof, take your clothes off,' and I would think, 'F*ck off!'"
