Kate Garraway has reflected on her very difficult year.
The Good Morning Britain presenter, 53, was left devastated when her husband Derek Draper contracted the coronavirus in March, as things took a turn for the worse soon after.
Derek - with whom Kate shares two kids - was left fighting for his life on a ventilator in intensive care.
And as he continues to recover from the monstrous deadly bug, Kate is taking a look back at the turmoil she was forced to face.
The Global Make Some Noise campaign took to Twitter to share a throwback of Kate singing live at their fundraiser last year, writing: "This time last year, @SmoothRadio 's @kategarraway appeared in 5 West End Shows in 1 night for Make Some Noise!"
To which Kate responded: "Goodness me! What’s happened in a year.
"That was an amazing night when so many talented performers made space for my enthusiastic amateur endeavours!!!
"And for such a good cause- here’s to the day when we can all enjoy fabulous shows all over the country as freely as then."
After Derek was taken into hospital back in March with the virus, he spent the next six months fighting for his life - and is still not out of the woods.
Kate's husband spent three months in a coma and has been in intensive care for almost the entirety of his hospital stay, leaving Kate having to put on a brave face as she takes care of their two children.
He developed major symptoms with Kate explaining how his organs simply "shut down".
Derek's recovery will be a slow process as the virus has "attacked everything", leaving him with clots in his lungs, holes in his heart and made him diabetic, and doctors have warned Kate that Derek might never recover from the damage done to his body.
Devastating news of Derek's condition saw Kate take an extended leave from GMB to be with her family, before defiantly returning to the show in July with her head held high.
Giving an update on his condition this month, Kate said Derek has lost eight stone during his stay in hospital.
She said he has been in a state of "minimum consciousness" and is still unable to speak.
Derek is now the country's longest-fighting Covid-19 patient.
Kate said: "There are big ups and big downs, not big ups really, small improvements and worrying downs as well.
"But the last few days have been pretty stable, so keeping everything crossed really."
