Kate Ferdinand has opened up on how she is dealing with the pain she is suffering during her first pregnancy.

The former TOWIE star, 29, who is expecting a child with husband Rio Ferdinand, took to her Instagram page on Sunday to share on some of the struggles she is dealing with due to her changing body.

After sharing last month that she is "hugely struggling" with pain in her lower back and groin, the mum-to-be relaxed in a hot bath in an attempt to ease the ache.

Alongside a photo that showed freshly pedicured feet poking out of the water and a candle burning, Kate wrote: “Not usually a fan of baths but I’m actually enjoying this this evening…

"Peace and quiet… and easing my back… win win."

After a relaxing Sunday night, Kate was up bright and early to do a Pilates class at 7am.

Alongside a snap of her Pilates machine, Kate wrote: "Pilates times… With my bodyguard Ronnie," referring to her chihuahua who looked on from his bed.

Kate previously explained that she is "struggling" as she finds it hard to deal with "losing the ability to move freely" so the Pilates will no doubt be helping her ease into exercise.

Kate and Rio, along with his three children from his first marriage - Tate, 12, Lorenz, 14, and Tia, nine - have been preparing to welcome their newest addition to their family, after Kate spoke honestly about her struggling to be a stepmum.

Kate opened up in a BBC documentary earlier this year about how she coped with the children's grief after their mum Rebecca Ellison died in 2015 of breast cancer, and confessed she found it difficult to suddenly be responsible for three kids.

She is keeping her due date quiet but announced their baby’s gender during an emotional reveal party last month.

Kate, who got married to Rio in Turkey last year, recently opened her heart on the impact her pregnancy has had on her mental health.

The blonde beauty told how she has struggled to juggle the arrival of her first child with being step-mum to hubby Rio’s three kids Lorenz 14, Tate, 12, and Tia, nine.

She said: “Lockdown has been an experience.

"Obviously I was pregnant and the children didn’t know, and something I’ve struggled with is being pregnant with my first biological child and still being a mum.

“So, I felt I had all these new experiences… but I was still a stepmother or mother figure to three kids.
