Kate Beckinsale did not waste any time clapping back at a judgemental troll on social media.
The actress, 47, this week split from her 23-year-old boyfriend Goody Grace - who is just two years older than her daughter - after their six-month romance fizzled out.
And Kate - who is often criticised by trolls for dating much younger men - was faced with yet another comment from a keyboard warrior.
After sharing a snap with her 4.4 million Instagram followers, one person told Kate: "You need a man."
But the brunette bombshell had no time for negativity, as she responded: "I can assure you no one 'needs' a man. It's really a question of want one, or not xx."
At the start of lockdown, Kate moved her toyboy lover into her family home in a bid for the pair to spend ample time together.
They were first romantically linked in April but their budding romance unfortunately was not meant to last, according to The Sun.
The biggest hint is Kate no longer follows Goody on social media.
She wiped all traces of her reported ex on her Instagram as she deleted the Instagram photos she uploaded on his 23rd birthday on June 20.
It's believed Goody has returned to his native Canada.
Mirror Online has contacted Kate's reps for comment.
It comes after Kate publicly defended their blossoming romance to trolls criticising the age gap.
One follower asked: "Why do you keep dating guys that could be your children?"
Kate responded: "Every relationship I have had has been solely to annoy you."
Kate has been open about her penchant for younger men.
She's had a series of high profile relationships with much younger men, including Ariana Grande's ex-fiancé Pete Davidson, 25, Matt Rife, 24, and 32-year-old comedian Jack Whitehall.
But Kate has no qualms shutting down anyone for judging her "fun" with younger men.
Speaking to Women's Health, Kate said: "It can feel like a little bit of a political act to be a woman over 32 who’s having any fun at all – 'Oh my god, I'm going to sit home and anticipate menopause while crocheting.'
"Unless you're doing that, it somehow seems to be risqué, which is just ridiculous."
