Kanye West has been doing a lot of planning and brainstorming when it comes to his presidential campaign and so, it sounds like he’s pictured Jay-Z as his ultimate running mate! As fans know, the rappers’ relationship has been up and down for years but one thing is certain, Jay-Z would never support Kanye’s presidential bid.
Either way, Kanye seemed to suggest Jay Z would just be perfect for that job.
While chatting with Kris Kaylin on Z93 JAMZ radio, Ye dished that ‘So, I reached out to [independent candidate Jade Simmons] to possibly be my vice-president, my running mate. Now, we have Michelle Tidball, who is a Christian pastor out of Wyoming, who is my running-mate, but she would be open to taking another position [in his cabinet] if we found another running mate.’
Then, he proceeded to get inspired by the initials for South Carolina, S.C., since the interview was ahead that rally, and told the host that ‘You know who should be my running mate? Shawn Carter.’
In case you were not aware, this is Jay-z’s real name!
Asked if he’d proposed that to his former collaborator and best friend, Kanye laughed and said: ‘Man, you know that I ain’t talk to my brother in about nine years or something like that. But the fact that we haven’t talked so long, that’s how you know we’re real brothers. … cause fake ones be mad but still pull up because they’re getting a check.’
In reality, while they have indeed not been on the bet of terms for years, Kanye and Jay-Z were in fact in the same room not too long ago!
Back in December, the rappers attended Diddy’s 50th birthday so they were definitely in the same room alongside others stars. And they even shook hands!
