Kanye West Claps Back At Issa Rae After Slamming Him In ‘SNL’ Sketch!

If you tuned in to the latest episode of Saturday Night Live, you know that Kanye West was mentioned by Issa Rae in one of her jokes. That being said, it appears that the rapper was not too happy about it, which is why he took to social media to respond.

Issa Rae only joked about Ye’s presidential campaign but the religious rapper felt like he had to let her know that he was ‘praying for her and her family.’

He also took this opportunity to slam SNL and the supposed way in which they treat black people.

‘I’ve always said SNL uses black people to hold other black people back. My heart goes out to Issa Rae. I’m praying for her and her family. I know that the twenty years of service that I’ve paid in the entertainment field has furthered our ability to be more successful,’ Kanye wrote on his Twitter after the show.

Kanye West got mentioned by the beloved actress during SNL’s ‘Your Vote Chicago’ sketch.

In this particular sketch, Rae played a representative for the NAACP who was on a morning talk show.

The character she portrayed shared that she’s voting for ‘everybody Black,’ which was actually making reference to her own comment at the 2017 Emmys.

But then, it turns out that there is one Black candidate she would definitely not vote for and that is, of course, Kanye West!

The anchor character, played by Kenan Thompson announces that ‘When we come back, we’ll talk about the presidential race between Donald Trump, Joe Biden, and Kanye West,’ prompting Rae’s character to react with: ‘Kanye? F him!’

Kanye West already has quite the history with SNL! The rapper performed on the show in 2018 but afterwards, he proceeded to go on an unplanned rant in support of Donald Trump.

The cast was not happy about that at all!

For instance, the following week, on Weekend Update, Pete Davidson called the impromptu speech ‘one of the worst, most awkward things I’ve ever seen.’
