The Big Bang Theory star Kaley Cuoco paid a loving tribute to her rescue dog Petunia after her death.
They had only adopted the elderly brown Pit Bull in August after she had suffered a "life of untold loneliness and hardship".
Heartbroken actress Kaley, 34, reposted her husband Karl Cook's message on Instagram on Thursday.
Her husband revealed they were missing her already after she had deeply affected their lives and touched their hearts.
In a lengthy tribute, he wrote: "After a life of untold loneliness and hardship she is at rest. For that I am happy.
"We did what we adopted petunia to do better than anyone else, give her everything. She is resting at peace, with everyday’s sunset to warm her.
"That is what matters most. Petunia it is not the amount of time together, but it’s affects on the soul.
"You affected everyone who met you. You’re forever my old lady. I miss you so much already, sleep my sweet angel."
They shared cute photographs of Petunia sleeping and playing in the garden to celebrate her memory.
Among the collection of snaps, there was a picture of Kaley sleeping alongside Petunia capturing their close bond.
Another photograph showed Petunia giving Karl a look of love while they sat together.
Kaley responded on her Instagram: "Thank you @PawsForLifeK9 for initially saving her. We were so honored to love her in her final days." (sic)
The actress uses her celebrity status to try get rescue dogs a forever home.
With the hashtag "mutt Monday", the star introduces her huge fan base on Instagram to dogs in need of a home from rescue centres.
Both Kaley and Karl have a shared mutual love of dogs.
So it's no wonder the long-time couple have an ever-growing family of furry pets.
Their love story stretches back to March 2016 when they went Instagram official.
Not long after, the lovebirds took their relationship to the red carpet for the first time.
In June 2018, the couple got married in a horse stable - PEOPLE reported.
