Jude Law has confirmed that he has welcomed his sixth child.

The actor's wife Phillipa Coan sparked speculation that she was expecting a baby with Jude after she was spotted flaunting a blossoming baby bump in north London in May.

And Contagion star Jude, 47, finally revealed that Phillipa gave birth during an appearance on Jimmy Fallon's The Tonight Show on Monday.

When quizzed on how he found lockdown, he shared: "I've been gardening. Oh! And on top of that I had a baby. So there you go."

Jimmy replied: "Buried the lede, buried the lede on that one."

Before sending well wishes, by adding: "Congrats, dad! That's awesome."

Jude now has six kids. He shares three children with ex wife Sadie Frost, a daughter with ex Samantha Burke and another little girl with singer-songwriter Catherine Harding.

Jude married Phillipa in a secret ceremony in May last year.

At the time, the couple shunned a star-studded guestlist and instead only invited their nearest loved ones for the civil ceremony.

Since then, the lovebirds have kept a relatively low profile although Jude recently admitted he would be open to having more children.

In January, Jude told The Telegraph that he would welcome some baby news.

He said: "Yeah, I love it, so absolutely, why not [have another]? I’m very lucky to be involved with someone I’m madly in love with. So the idea of having more children would be just wonderful.

“I’m fortunate to be with someone where I’m having more fun than I’ve ever had in my life."
