Jonathan Price Case Update: Office Shaun Lucas Reveals He Resisted Arrest

The case of Jonathan Price has been made popular all over online, and, if you recall, Porsha Williams is one of the TV stars who talked about this on their social media account.

‘His name was #JonathanPrice. ⁣In Wolfe City, Texas, he was known as a hometown hero. Motivational speaker, trainer, professional athlete, and community advocate— he was dearly loved by so many,’ Porsha began her post.

Officer Shaun Lucan has been arrested and charged with murder in connection with the death of Price, who was an unarmed man. He was attempting to break up a fight when it all happened.

Lucas now alleges that he shot the man because he was resisting arrest, and he was attempting to grab his taser.

The Shade Room cites info from CBS 11 News and reveals that the Defense Attorney for Robert L. Rogers stated:

‘Officer Lucas responded to a fight in progress call. He saw several people gathered at the front of the store. Mr. Price approached Officer Lucas. Mr. Price did not claim to be an uninvolved, innocent party.’

He reportedly continued and said that ‘Officer Lucas told Mr. Price he was detained, and Mr. Price resisted. After Mr. Price refused repeated instructions and physically resisted, Officer Lucas deployed his taser and continued to give Mr. Price instructions. Mr. Price resisted the effects of the taser and attempted to take it away from Officer Lucas. Officer Lucas only discharged his weapon in accordance with Texas law when he was confronted with an aggressive assailant who was attempting to take his taser.’

Someone commented: ‘Mind you, THIS MAN was in support of BlueLivesMatter because he “never had an issue with police officers,” and the irony is that a “Blue Life” took HIS life. Tragic.’

Another follower said: ‘I wonder where the “All lives matter” crew is at; he was one of their people🤷🏽‍♀️.’

Someone else posted this message: ‘I’m sorry he lost his life, but after reading his Facebook posts, I have a hard time sympathizing with a black man that had no sympathy for victims like Breonna Taylor and George Floyd. Let the cops and ALL LIVES MATTER rally for him.’
