John Travolta has taken to social media to thank fans for giving him support as he celebrated his first Thanksgiving since the death of his wife, Kelly Preston.
The 66-year-old actor was married to actress and model Kelly in 1991 – and suffered heartache in July when she passed away at the age of 57 following a two year battle with cancer.
On Thursday, John celebrated the annual American holiday of Thanksgiving – and was touched by an outpouring of love sent to him from fans.
Taking to Instagram on the day, John addressed his fans and followers in a short video message, while adding the simple caption: “Happy Thanksgiving everyone.”
Looking at the camera, John said: “I just wanted to take this moment to thank each and every one of you for supporting me in such an incredible way this year.”
He added: “Happy Thanksgiving and always love.”
John’s video provoked further messages of well wishing, with one fan commenting: “Happy Thanksgiving to you and your sweet family. Kelly would be so proud of you all for your love and strength.”

In July, John shared his grief over Kelly’s death when he announced the news of her passing on Instagram.
He wrote at the time: “It is with a very heavy heart that I inform you that my beautiful wife Kelly has lost her two-year battle with breast cancer.
“She fought a courageous fight with the love and support of so many. …I will be taking some time to be there for my children who have lost their mother, so forgive me in advance if you don’t hear from us for a while.
“All my love, JT.”
John and Kelly had three children together, a son named Jett who was born in April 1992, a daughter named Ella born in 2000, and a second son named Benjamin who was born in November 2010.
Tragically, Jett died in January 2009 aged 16-years-old following a seizure while on holiday in the Bahamas.
While last week, John took to social media to celebrate his youngest child turning 10-years-old.
