Joe Exotic has hit out at a Las Vegas museum which is claiming to be displaying personal items of the Tiger King star,
The 57-year-old star of the Netflix docuseries that has gripped viewers on both sides of the Atlantic has slammed claims that a sex aid on display used to belong to him.
The pieces are being shown at Zak Bagans’ Haunted Museum in Las Vegas and were filmed for Travel Channel’s two-hour special Ghost Adventures: Horror at Joe Exotic Zoo.
The exhibition has left Joe reportedly feeling 'roaring mad' over claims that they have his penis pump, leading him to say from behind bars that his sex drive is always "strong" and that he has never needed a sex aid.
The former zoo owner boasted in the Netflix series about his prowess in the bedroom and it was seen in the show that he had two husbands, with his wedding to the pair shown on screen.
Joe has said that the items of his in the museum are 'fake' and has claimed that his nemesis Jeff Lowe, who took over Joe's zoo, had "made stories up" about his belongings which were left at the zoo after Joe was convicted for his part in a murder-for-hire plot.
Joe has also called into question the validity of his former lover, Travis Maldano's haunted tricycle which is also advertised as being in the museum.
The Tiger King star is serving 22 years in jail for attempted murder and animal cruelty and has said that the kid’s toy belongs to his ex husband John Finlay’s wife Amber.
Speaking to one of his legal advisors from prison, Joe said: "That is not my penis pump. I do and did not need a pump for my love life."
The advisor said that he talks to Joe 'almost daily' has claimed: "Joe is spitting blood over this pump.
“He says that he is a virile man with a strong sex drive, who has never needed that contraption in the bedroom.
“He says Travis and John never had issues in the bedroom."
Joe has pointed the finger at his old rival as the source of claims that the items are genuine.
The advisor continued: "He feels that it is another effort by Jeff to attack him.
“Let’s not forget there is no love lost between those two and Joe, to this day, still feels Jeff is a major reason why he is behind bars.
“He reckons that there is nothing he wouldn’t do to him to make him look stupid."
There was an explanation given, with the advisor claiming: "Joe says that the only explanation he has for the plastic contraption is that it may have been used for feeding animals or some breeding tool, but given he has not seen it - he cannot be sure.
“He says that that the tricycle is not haunted and believes it belonged to former zoo employee Amber, who had a baby with John Finlay.”
The source added: “Joe says he would like lawyers to work on this, but given his cash issues and bigger problems with fighting for freedom, this is not a priority.
“Nonetheless Joe is p****d off.”
A spokesperson for museum has said: “Zak has personally curated and designed a bone-chilling experience that blends his cursed collection of curiosities with the true accounts of decade’s old malevolent hauntings and rituals that once took place inside the historic 1938 Wengert Mansion."
