”Joe Biden Can Rebuild Our Country and Unite the Nation,” Jill Biden Says — Do You Agree?

From an empty classroom at Brandywine High School in Wilmington, Delaware, where she used to teach English before, Jill Biden closed out the second night of the Democratic National Convention with a personal speech dedicated to her husband, Joe Biden.

Jill Biden described him as a loving and dedicated father. He managed to rebuild his family after the passing of his first wife, Neilia, and their 1-year-daughter, Naomi, in a car accident in 1972, Jill Biden said.

In her view, her husband possesses the qualities to "heal a deeply divided nation." Rebuilding a family and rebuilding a country requires love, understanding, resilience, she noted.

Mrs. Biden opened up to share with the public how they both managed to create a healthy family with a sense of determination and resilience that helped them overcome the second loss in their lives - the death of his son Beau Biden, who died from brain cancer in 2015.

During her speech, Jill Biden did not mention Donald Trump. She only argued that the nation needs someone to heal it when the President is more focused on dividing it during a pandemic, which took the lives of more than 170,000 Americans.

"We need someone with strong shoulders, as we have to carry heavy burdens," the former teacher said. In her opinion, if the voters trust her husband, he will do for their families what he did for his own: he will bring it back and make them a whole.

Discussing the pandemic and the closure of schools, she also offered her perspective as a teacher. She pointed out the difficulties the American families experience to decide whether or not to allow their kids to go back to school.

Colin Powell, the Republican who used to serve as secretary of state during President George W. Bush's term, also backed Joe Biden. In his words, if elected, Biden will fully trust our intelligence and diplomats and not ''dictators and despots.''

The retired four-star general also pointed out that our ''divided nation'' needs a commander-in-chief to take care of our soldiers the same way he cared for his family.

Discussing president Trump's domestic performance, Powell said that he instead of trying to unite the country, Trump is constantly doing ''everything in his power'' to keep us divide

Powell noted that it would make such a difference if we had a president that unites us and restores our strengths.

What do you think? Do you agree or disagree that Joe Biden possesses the qualities to rebuild the country, as his wife suggested?
