Jeremih is said to have take a crucial step forward on his road to recovery after leaving intensive care.
The singing star was rushed to ICU on Friday with his life hanging in the balance.
He was hospitalised with coronavirus as famous friends asked fans for prayers for the 33-year-old.
But he has now been transferred out of the specialist unit, according to TMZ.
Jeremih, whose real name is Jeremy Phillip Felton, is best known for hit songs Birthday Sex and Down on Me.
On Saturday it was reported the star was on a breathing ventilator in ICU after contracting Covid-19.
TMZ now reports that Jeremih is now being 'treated normally' after being admitted to intensive care last week.
The singer's family issued a statement on his health battle last week.
They describing how the virus had 'viciously attacked his body' which they noted was 'rare for a young man his age with no underlying conditions'.
“The family believes daily prayers to God,” they shared. “A great team of doctors and nurses is helping him pull through. He’s not out of the woods yet, but progress is being made. The family and friends are praying that he starts breathing on his own soon, and makes a full recovery.
“His family would like to remind the world that COVID-19 is real and not to be taken lightly.
“Also, it’s important for people infected to quarantine and let their families and friends know ASAP. There’s no shame in contracting COVID-19, and people that have it need to be responsible and considerate of others."
