Jane Fonda has never been afraid to kick off about the big issues – and in these boots she clearly means business
The ever-youthful 82-year-old actress and campaigner says fury over inequality laid bare under Donald Trump ’s presidency will not end even if he is voted out next month.
Modelling a red Michael Kors Collection blazer and dress, Cartier Love hoop earrings and long Saint Laurent boots in a photoshoot for Interview Magazine, she said she sees the November 3 US Presidential election as a huge moment in the country’s history.
The Oscar-winning Barbarella and Klute star added: “For a lot of white people, the election of Trump made it more evident than it had been before, the extent to which white supremacy is alive and well in this country.
"If we succeed in November to elect a different president, I still think that what has been unleashed – the concern, the rage, the anguish, the desire to end this – is here to stay.”
Jane has long been a campaigner for social justice and was a big financial supporter of the Black Panthers during the 60s and 70s.
Now she fights for environmental reform, setting up Fire Drill Fridays and getting herself arrested outside the Washington Capitol building four times in just four weeks.
