Jamie Redknapp's mates rinse him over his split from Louise Redknapp and still goad him about the so-called 'Strictly Curse', the ex-footballer has admitted today.
Jamie, who was married to Louise for 18 years before their separation in 2016, said he still gets jibes about their split from his A League Of Their Own co-stars James Corden, Freddie Flintoff and Jack Whitehall - but claims he knows how to handle them.
In his first interview touching upon the subject of his divorce, Jamie told Ireland's Sunday Independent that he's used to locker room banter - especially as he and Freddie have both had experience with Strictly.
Their split came around the same time Louise was partnered with Kevin Clifton - although she insisted nothing happened between them.
"Of course, Freddie and I get some stick but there's nobody who gives it and can't take it. I've never really felt uncomfortable with a joke. I've been in football dressing-rooms since I was 11 years of age and there was always a lot of slagging," he pointed out.
"I was in the Liverpool dressing-room with Ray Houghton, John Barnes and Ronnie Whelan. If you can handle that, you can handle A League of Their Own."
Jamie recently unfollowed his ex-wife on Instagram and is rumoured to have moved on with Swedish model Frida Andersson-Lourie, but sadly the couple's two children have been forced apart due to the coronavirus lockdown.
Beau, 11, has been staying with his dad in Surrey while 16-year-old Charley has moved in with Louise, and the separation has been hard on Jamie.
"My kids make me emotional. Watching them grow up and be such good kids, that's everything to me. It makes everything worthwhile," he went on.
"I have to be honest. I'm so glad that they went back to school this week. It was one of the greatest days of my life.
"They need the structure. It's unprecedented times, we never had to go through anything like what they're going through. I have a 16-year-old starting sixth form and an 11-year-old starting a new school and for them to be off for six months, that's tough."
While Jamie is yet to publicly address his split from Louise, rumours swirled that he was disappointed by the news his ex is set to bring out a warts-and-all book about the breakdown of their marriage.
