James Stunt has been taken away in cuffs while topless and with his trousers around his ankles during an apparent arrest.
Footage which has gone viral appeared to show the moment the 38-year-old was arrested by police officers during chaotic scenes at a mews house in London.
The troubled playboy – who is the ex-husband of Formula 1 billionaire heiress Petra Ecclestone – had earlier goaded police to arrest him during an abusive social media video posting.
Video shows James surrounded by police while sitting on the floor of a property, while a sturdy looking police man blocks the doorway to the person recording the video.
Sound on the footage is muffled but appears to include the voice of a woman protesting over the scenes unfolding.
Just hours earlier, the businessman had taken to social media to share a rambling warning against a businessman and his daughter.
He says to camera: “This is what I think of you calling the Old Bill on me, you’re not a taxpayer, I pay their wages, you don’t. They don’t work for you.
“Now I did say something very ungentlemanly because James Stunt never lies to you.
“I said I’m going to throw acid in your face. Horrible disgusting I said that. And I’m going to shoot your father. I apologise for saying acid but let the Old Bill come and arrest me. You put handcuffs on me.”
The arrest is believed to have taken place in the Knightsbridge area of West London on Friday evening.
Mirror Online have contacted a representative of the businessman for comment.
James has made headlines in recent years over allegations of money laundering.
