Jacques O’Neill exposes ‘terrible’ Love Island eating plan as he admits to poor diet

Jacques O'Neill took part in an Insta Live with Luca Bish and revealed he only ate hummus and crisps for lunch during his time on Love Island

Love Island's Jacques O'Neill has exposed the "terrible" eating plan he devised during his brief stint in the luxury villa this summer.

The 23-year-old admitted he ate "nothing but hummus and crisps for lunch and tea" during his spell on the popular ITV2 dating series.

He made the shocking revelation while taking part in an Instagram Live video with fellow islander Luca Bish, while Dami Hope also joined in part way through.

The lads, who struck up a strong bond on the show, treated their fans to an open and honest discussion about their time in the Majorcan villa - and they certainly stunned their fans with some of their comments.

As well as opening up about his poor dietary intake, Jacques revealed he is yet to talk to former flame Paige Thorne, despite originally saying he'd wait for her after his shock exit from the show.

The former rugby league star was in a couple with the Welsh paramedic when he stunned viewers with his decision to leave the island just one day after Adam Collard arrived as a bombshell - four years after his first stint on the show.

But, while Jacques had made his feelings clear, Adam and Paige grew close and remain a pair on the outside, leaving Jacques on the sidelines.

During his Insta Live on Sunday, one fan asked him his thoughts on the duo, saying: "What do you think of Paige and Adam?"

Jacques quickly fired back a sarcastic reply, joking: "Well, her mum seems to love him doesn't she?" before adding: "He's in there with the fam!"

He was, of course, referring to the famous 'Meet the Parents' episode which saw Paige's mum distance herself from the Geordie hunk, telling her daughter: "Sorry, I'm not buying it."

Jacques later added to the fan: "Nah, Paige and Adam seem really happy together. Best of luck to them," before Luca quipped: "Sound well sincere there, mate!"

Since leaving the villa, Jacques also appears to have deleted all Instagram photos and clips linking him with Paige.

Although Paige moved on with Adam, she still has more social media photos with Jacques than she does with her new man.

The pair have however been enjoying the party lifestyle since leaving the show. As well as taking in the boozy bash Antigoni Buxton held following the reunion filming on Thursday, Paige and Adam enjoyed more late night boogying on Sunday following the airing of the reunion show.

Adam took to his Instagram Story to upload a video of the brunette beauty dancing provocatively in a club to My Humps by Black Eyed Peas.

He captioned the video: "Something else," while tagging Paige. He had earlier showed his admiration for her in a clip of him showering her with kisses.
