Jacqueline Jossa was over the moon to announce that she had landed her first ever West End role in A Christmas Carol.

The 28-year-old former EastEnders actress took to social media to reveal that she had landed a spot in the new musical concert and will be taking to the stage this Christmas.

Sharing the exciting update with her 3 million Instagram followers, Jac was in disbelief that she had landed the role of Emily.

Jac, who will be starring alongside Brian Conley and Matt Willis at the Dominion Theatre, also unveiled a promotional shot that featured her in costume.

"PINCH ME!!. MY WEST END DEBUT!!!" Jac began in her caption. "I am so excited to be joining the WEST END cast of @LondonXmasCarol this Christmas!

"I will be playing Emily in this brand-new, musical staged concert of Dicken’s classic - A Christmas Carol, from 7th December this year!

Jac added: "With live music from the incredible @thelmto and a wonderful cast including @realbrianconley and @mattjwillis this is the 2020 event that will unite friends, families and loved ones with the magic of live entertainment, the perfect post-lockdown treat!

"We have all the safety measure already in place at the @dominiontheatre, making this a covid safe production.

"Check the link in my bio to book tickets! I can’t wait to see you all there #AChristmasCarol#AChristmasCarolLondon," the actress concluded.

Jac, who has teased the exciting update since yesterday, also shared several promotional shots in her Instagram story.

"Wow I am in great company....WHATTTTTTT??!!!" Jacqueline added in another post.

Based on Charles Dickens' classic novel of the same name, the theatre show was originally written and premiered in 1994.

The EastEnders star will be joined on stage by Brian Conley as Ebenezer Scrooge, as well as Busted's Matt Willis, Lucie Jones and Sandra Marvin.

Jac's exciting update came just hours after the actress slammed rumours that she might be pregnant.

On Sunday, Jacqueline told fans that she would shortly be revealing some big news, leaving some to speculate what the announcement could be.

The reigning Queen of the Jungle then revealed that lots of fans thought she was pregnant.

"[Had] lots of these," she revealed with a thumbs down.

"Nope. Just chubby," explained Jacqueline.

Other suggestions was that she was heading back to I'm A Celeb or creating her own reality show - with no-one appearing to guess correctly that she was heading to the West End.
