BAM MARGERA REVEALS JOHNNY KNOXVILLE AND STEVE-O ARE IN HOSPITAL

Bam Margera 's family have furiously denied speculation which has suggested the Jackass star is under a Britney Spears-style conservatorship.

The Jackass star, 42, has been trending on Twitter in recent days amid his long battle with drug and alcohol addiction and his recent rehab stint.

Back in June, the reality TV star been reported 'missing' after fleeing a rehab centre in Florida.

Police sent out a search party after Bam reportedly fled the Florida rehabilitation centre, and at the time, his rehab manager reported the star missing after he told staff at the centre that he was 'unhappy' with the place and 'their services'.

After Bam was found safe and sound, speculation about his wellbeing began to circulate among fans as they started to question whether or not the much-loved star had been placed under a conservatorship by his family.

As rumours continue to emerge, Bam's family have now released a lengthy statement denying that the 42-year-old is under any kind of conservatorship - especially one as strict as the one Britney was placed under for over 13-years.

Taking to Instagram, Bam's concerned family explained his current situation.

His beloved clan explained that he is currently in treatment and that his family were helping him with his social media while he focuses on his recovery.

"It's no secret that Bam has struggled with mental health and addiction," the statement read.

"You've watched Ban grow up and supported him through his ups and downs.

"Our family has let you into the chaos that is our home, and we want nothing more than to continue this journey together."

The statement went on to address the 'Free Bam movement', explaining that it had 'caused confusion and threat to Bam' and his family.

"Although we love sharing our lives with you, some things need to be handled privately, and treatment is one of them.

"Recovery is difficult and even more so under public scrutiny. Despite rumours, Bam has never been in a conservatorship but rather a temporary healthcare guardianship for reasons not shared with the public.

"If Bam chooses to speak to this, he will when he is ready. The Free Bam theorists have encouraged his exit from treatment, despite their lacking knowledge of the details, his health, and his well-being.

"We kindly ask you to respect the process and our family.

"As our extended family, we ask for you to support Bam in his recovery, to stay on track, and wish him well with his sobriety."

Bam, who is a professional skateboarding champion, also shot to fame on alongside Johnny Knoxville on stunt series, Jackass.
