Dr Hilary Jones is joining ITV’s doctors including Dr Amir Khan to team up for the first time to answer people’s medical questions during lockdown.
Dr Hilary and Dr Amir from the Lorraine show will join their counterparts from This Morning – Dr Ranj Singh and Dr Zoe Williams – to host the clinic.
On Thursday they will all appear on both the programmes for the first time.
The event will kick off with Lorraine between 9am and 10am, when the doctors will host the virtual waiting room to give viewers advice.
Then the quartet will be running an open surgery on This Morning, which is co-presented by Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield.
Dr Hilary, 67, said: “With everything that’s going on, people are rightly concerned about health matters.
“It’s a topic very much at the forefront of people’s minds. But we mustn’t forget about other conditions as well as Covid, and I’ll be looking forward to hearing from viewers.”
Dr Ranj, 41, said: “Health is at the forefront of everyone’s minds right now, so it’s hugely important that we as doctors in the public eye help in any way we can, alongside our daytime colleagues.
“Dr Zoe and I are both part of the This Morning team, but we also work on the NHS front line, so we know exactly what is worrying people right now.”
The former Strictly Come Dancing contestant added: “It’s a great privilege to be able to help the public in this way as part of a daytime special.”
There have been bumper viewing figures this week for Lorraine which has been beating the new Morning Live show on the BBC.
Wednesday’s episode of the ITV programme recorded its highest ever share of viewing.
