Selena Gomez has admitted she's still "settling in" after buying a new $5 million lodge-style mansion in California.

Back in April, the pop star, 27, splashed out $4.9 million on the house in Encino which was previously owned by rocker Tom Petty.

She has now given fans a glimpse of the decor after redesigning the interior of the house, which has six bedrooms and 10 bathrooms.

Selena shared a picture of herself sitting on a velvet chair holding a guitar in front of a feature wall covered in rose wallpaper.

She'd added a white piano and some logs to complete the cabin-style look.

In a post on Instagram, she wrote: "Things I’ve been doing in quarantine- settling into my new house and guitar lessons

The house boasts a huge outdoor swimming pool, a sun terrace and even a home studio where she has been working on new music.

There is even a basement room which is used as a home gym and spa.

The house has wooden beams throughout as well as a working fireplace in the living room.

She previously set up a pop-up make-shift studio in her last home so she could work during the coronavirus lockdown.

It's likely Selena will be relived to finally have a built in studio ready to go, which is believed to have been installed by the previous owner Petty.

E! Online reports there are rumoured to be secret passages connected the rooms which Petty, who died in 2017, installed when he as his wife had the house custom-built in 1989.

There is also a wine cellar, home office and second kitchen.

Selena was previously living Studio City, California in a bungalow she bought for $2.25 million in 2017.
