Love Island: Meet Michael Owen’s daughter Gemma

Love Island star Gemma Owen has revealed she lives in a house ‘big enough for 12 horses’.

Here we take a look inside the £4 million country pad in North Wales she gets to call home.

The 19-year-old lives there with her famous footballer dad Michael Owen, mum Louise Bonsall and three younger siblings, James, 16, Emily, 14, and Jessica, 12.

The family snapped the property up back in 2001 – the same year Michael won the prestigious Ballon d’Or award when he played for Liverpool.

A Grade II listed manor known as Lower Soughton Hall, it couldn’t get posher if it tried.

As well as sharing snaps of their posh pad on Instagram, the family opened their house up to Keith Lemon’s Through the Keyhole back in 2019.

As viewers tried to guess which sportsman owned the fancy property, they were told it was set in a “not too shabby” 42 acres.

ITV cameras then showed Keith in the main entrance and reception room, which is decorated in traditional wood panels.

It also has wood floors, ornate fireplaces and leather sofas, giving a members’ club feel.

Up the sweeping staircase, the property has a huge open plan balcony and high ceilings.

The wood theme continues in the kitchen which has not one, but two dining tables.

There is also a strange body cast artwork on the kitchen wall of the front and back of a woman’s body. Maybe not what you want to look at while you're eating your dinner...

The clip then cuts to Michael’s massive home gym featuring top of the range workout equipment.

The house even has what Keith describes as the ‘owner’s very own leisure centre’, which has a tropical theme to make you feel like you’re abroad.

It includes a swimming pool with a waterfall – like something out of Center Parcs – a row of sun loungers and a jacuzzi.

In a funny clip, Keith reveals someone in the family is also a fan of a sun bed as there is one in the house.

The ‘leisure centre theme’ continues in the garden, which features a children’s play area, mini football pitch and a putting green.

Viewers are able to get a glimpse of the property’s equestrian facilities, which consists of stables and fields big enough to house 12 horses.

Michael’s daughter Gemma is an international dressage rider who has competed for Great Britain since she was 11.

Other highlights of the property include a huge home cinema with a projector and plush velvet seats.

There is also a games room with a pool table, juke box and room for all of Michael’s football trophies and football shirts – including his treasured Ballon d’Or.

Michael’s daughter Gemma is the youngest contestant on this year’s Love Island so far, aged just 19.

But despite being the bookie’s favourite to win the ITV2 dating show before the new series started on Monday, she is now dividing fans.

On the very first day in the Love Island villa, she made her feelings known that she wasn't happy after being paired with Welsh student Liam Llewellyn .

She also mocked Brighton boy Luca's surname – Bish - and fans were not impressed.

Gemma was then asked to kiss the boy she fancied the most - leading her to kiss Davide, who she later coupled up with.

*Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2
