I'm A Celeb campmate Ruthie Henshall broke royal protocol when she met the Queen.
The West End star, 53, dated Prince Edward the Earl of Wessex for five years in the early 90s.
And on Friday's instalment of the reality show, she shared insight into the time Prince Edward introduced her to the head of the family during a chat with Shane Richie.
Ruthie and Prince Edward met while Edward was working for Andrew Lloyd Webber as a production assistant and Ruthie was the lead role in his production, A Star Is Born and instantly clicked which she says led to her "genuinely fell in love with him".
She jokingly told Shane: "You sang in the gardens, I s***ged in the bedrooms.”
Ruthie explained that as she and Edward progressed their romance she was invited to Buckingham Palace and ended up meeting the Queen but she made an error as she threw the royal rule book out the window by shaking HRH's hand.
Ruthie shared with EastEnders' Shane: "He invited me to Windsor for the weekend and as we're walking I'm seeing a table outside and there's people sitting around it and I'm thinking: 'That looks like the Queen'.
"I remembered my dad had said to me that if you ever meet the Queen he said you curtsy and call her ma'am.
"But I grab her hand, forget all about the curtsy, and I'm like: 'I'm really, really pleased to meet you!'"
There is no obligatory rules of behaviour when meeting the Queen or a member of the Royal Family but there are some codes of conduct that people tend to follow such as men bowing their head when meeting the Queen and women performing a small curtsy.
Ruthie's hand-shake fail led to I'm A Celeb fans sharing how much they love hearing Ruthie's royal gossip.
One joked: "The Queen on her wedding anniversary listening to Ruthie telling her story about sh***ing her son around buckingham palace."
A second added: "Ruthie Henshall to be queen of im a celeb for giving us gossip about the royals."
Another uploaded a shocked emoji and typed: "The Queen when she heard Ruthie spilling the tea."
