I'm A Celebrity evictee Hollie Arnold has opened up about her infamous 'MBE' comment now that she's been booted off the ITV reality show.

Viewers were left squirming with the 26-year-old Paralympian corrected hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly for not using her full title when introducing her on this year's show.

After Hollie became the first person to leave the show this year she has now shed some light on the divisive moment.

Addressing the backlash she received from fans of the show, Hollie told The Sun: "I don't know why they got so riled up.

"I don't like those comments but the real people know that I do not use MBE ever, ever!

"All I can say is I'm proud to have my MBE and it's such an honour.

"I won't let people like that get me down because that's who I am!"

After looking visibly upset at being told she was the first celeb to go this year, Hollie admitted she is 'gutted' to have gone so soon.

Hollie endured just one Bushtucker Trial with Shane Richie and the Castle Coin Challenge with all of her fellow campmates and said she wanted to stay to take on more.

"It was horrible but I absolutely loved every minute of it," she said of the experience.

After being handed back her mobile phone, Hollie took to social media to tell her followers: "WOW, I’ve had the most INCREDIBLE time in the camp and I’m so lucky to have experienced and been part of I’m a Celebrity 2020.

"Completely heartbroken to have left the camp, but overwhelmed with all the support and lovely messages I’ve received over the last 2 weeks, I can’t thank you enough.

"Once the next few busy days are over, I can’t wait to keep you updated on my journey to Tokyo and beyond."
