This year's crop of campmates that will head into the Australian jungle for ITV's I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! are going to need to allow for extra time away from home.
It has been reported that the celebrities that will be looking to survive the jungle experience may have to quarantine for two weeks after arriving Down Under, due to Covid-19 fears.
Australia is currently seeing another surge in coronavirus cases and show insiders have told The Sun that every precaution will be taken to ensure the safety of production crew as well as the celebs who will be living in the jungle.
If the quarantine plan comes to fruition, it would mean that some celebrities will be spending five weeks away from loved ones and this could heighten the feeling of homesickness in the camp and lead to a tearful time for some.
A show source said: "I’m A Celeb is one of the toughest reality shows out there and adding a two-week quarantine period is only going to make it harder.
“The welfare of the campmates is the biggest concern, so having them possibly put in quarantine for a fortnight lessens the risk of anyone falling ill."
There has been an admittance that "having to spend more than a month away from their families might be offputting," so it could affect who decides to go into the jungle.
The source added that the "two-week plan in place is one simple way of being able to ensure the health of those taking part."
There had been thoughts that the show would be relocated to the wilds of Scotland to combat the demands of the Covid-19 outbreak but The Sun have claimed that this would not be the case.
ITV bosses are still planning to head to the Springbrook National Park, as they have done previously, and produce the show as they would have done if the virus was not an issue.
Among those rumoured to be heading Down Under is Tiger King star Carole Baskin, former Arsenal footballer turned pundit Paul Merson and chart-topping singer Jessie J.
