Iggy Azalea has taken the make over to new levels with a transformation that has fans claiming she is 'unrecognisable' from her usual self.
The 30-year-old Australian rapper is usually a 'go-to' person if you were looking for the ideal blonde bombshell but her new look is a world away from that.
Iggy, whose real name is Amethyst Kelly, shared a video of the transformation on Instagram in which she is seen having her hair shaved, with her blonde locks replaced by bright red dyed hair.
The rapper has tried to play down the reality of what was happening by claiming she was just having her wig shaved but many fans were not buying that premise.
The video shows her hair being shaved close to the scalp and Iggy captioned it: "Just shaving my wig, what about you?"
She is all smiles as the clippers change her style and it is thought that she was getting ready for a photo shoot or filming a music video.
It has been a week of reflection for Iggy as she celebrated nine years since she released Ignorant Art, which was her first mixtape.
On Sunday, she took to Twitter to share her feelings about the moment that started her on a successful career path.
She tweeted: "Can't believe nine years ago to this day I officially dropped my first project."
Iggy went on to add: "Feels like a lifetime ago and a flash at the same time. Here's something new in celebration to still being here!"
She then shared the artwork that she used for that 2011 mixtape as well as a teaser of new material for her upcoming third album, End of an Era.
It has been a big year for Iggy as she announced the birth of her son, Onyx, in June.
Writing on her Instagram Stories about her boy, who she shares with rapper Playboi Carti, Iggy shared: "I have a son.
"I kept waiting for the right time to say something but it feels like the more time passes the more I realise I'm always going to feel anxious to share news that giant with the world.
"I want to keep his life private but wanted to make it clear he is not a secret and I love him beyond words."
