Holly Willoughby was left sobbing as she watched her dad tick off his dream bucket list challenge.

The This Morning presenter shared the touching moment her father, Brian, completed one of his life goals on her Instagram.

In her video, Brian appeared to be living his dream as he flew in a Spitfire plane.

Footage of her dad showed him soaring through the skies and buzzing with excitement as he watched the world go by.

Watching from home, a tearful Holly penned: "Well, I just received this footage from @boultbeeacademy of the moment my Dad ticked the big one off his bucket list and flew in a Spitfire..."

The star revealed it was a "special" moment for her dad, as he got to fly in a plane hired from Boultbee Flight Academy.

A flight in one of the incredible planes starts from £2,750.

She continued: "I think you can tell from his face that magic happened up there in the sky in that beautiful machine...

"Thank you @boultbeeacademy for making it so special and making dreams come true... I'm in bits here watching this."

Brian also got a snap standing in front of the huge aircraft, and he looked particularly impressed.

He had both hands on his hips and beamed towards the camera, with a huge smile on his face.

Fans of Holly rushed to the comments section to share their happiness for Brian.

One wrote: "This is so precious!! He looks so happy."

As another shared: "So lovely..he is living his dream.️"

"Amazing hope your Dad had a wonderful time x," a third added.

In recent days, Holly returned home to London after she was forced to cut short her seven-week holiday in Portugal.

Despite having to shave off two weeks to factor in 14 days of quarantine before her return to This Morning on September 1, Holly enjoyed a lavish stay in the Algarve alongside her husband Dan Baldwin.

The smitten couple were also joined by their three doting children, Harry, 11, Belle, nine, and Chester, five.

Although she has not yet confirmed where exactly she and her family stayed during the lavish getaway, it's likely the This Morning star got cosy in their own private villa, with a personal swimming pool.

During her getaway, Holly remained rather quiet across her social media platforms by only posting two photographs to her Instagram throughout the duration of her five-week stay.

Holly is now isolating for 14 days after cutting her Portugal trip short as she awaits her return to work.

Government coronavirus restrictions mean any passengers returning from Portgual need to isolate for two weeks.

Although her family trip came to a halt earlier than expected, Holly did what was necessary to keep everyone safe before she hits screens again on This Morning.
