Harry Styles’ fans rage as he fails to join Billie Eilish on Glastonbury stage for duet

Fans of the Watermelon Sugar singer were deflated and angry after they waited patiently for the star to join Billie on stage for a duet - but he didn't show up at all during her set

Fans of Harry Styles were devastated on Friday night when he failed to make a surprise appearance alongside Billie Eilish at the Glastonbury music festival.

In the hours leading up to 20-year-old Billie’s headline set at Worthy Farm in Somerset, wild rumours spread online that the 28-year-old Watermelon Sugar singer would join the Bond theme songstress on stage.

Dedicated fans patiently sat through all of Billie’s performance – which included barnstorming renditions of her hits Bad Guy and Your Power.

But fans of the Styles were left feeling like they had been mugged off when Billie finished her set under the glow of exploding fireworks – with Hazza absolutely nowhere to be seen.

Taking to Twitter in their droves, many fans expressed their sadness and disappointment over the no show – with one simply tweeting: “Clowned again” alongside the hashtags ‘Glastonbury’, ‘Harry Styles’ and ‘Billie Eilish’.

Another whinged: “i watched the whole of billie eilish’s glastonbury set only knowing about 2 songs just incase harry styles came on why am i such a clown ffs”.

Another complained: “I watched all off billies set at Glastonbury thinking Harry styles would appear” - tweeting a photo of Harry with clown hair and a clown nose superimposed on him.

But the singer completed her set - with Harry nowhere to be seen

And another raged: “Not me watching Billie Eilish's whole Glastonbury set because it was rumored that Harry Styles will be preforming with her as a special guest.”

Away from the disappointment over Harry, Glastonbury fans gave Billie something of a mixed reaction as some felt her performance was a belter – but others found her songs lacking pizzazz.

One fan enthusiastically tweeted: "Gawd, I've loved Billie Eilish these past 4 or 5 years...seeing her in Glastonbury , she's amazing. Genius woman."

Another gushed: "@billieeilish wow beautiful confidence and performance. Loving" alongside a heart face emoji.

But others were less kind, with one tweeting: "I thought that I would watch #BillieEilish to see what all the fuss is about. By god, her songs are boring."

One complained: "I've really tried with Billie Eilish, honestly I have. Not for me. I'm too old I think."

Another huffed: "Not me and my grandad watching billie eilish At Glastonbury and he’s falling asleep."

And another suggested: "Having to listen to Billie Eilish, worst headliner ever. Bring on Macca tomorrow."

During the course of her set, Billie drew attention to the legal changes that have rocked America as the Supreme Court voted on Friday to overturn the landmark 1970s case Roe v Wade which made abortion legal across the USA.

Billie declared the decision: “a really, really dark day for women” and added: “I cannot bear to think about it any longer in this moment.”

Other performers set to take to the stage this weekend include music legends Sir Paul McCartney and Diana Ross, rap sensation Kendrick Lamar, and dance music icons The Pet Shop Boys.
