Gogglebox's own Sophie Sandiford became the victim of identity theft after an Instagram account masqueraded as her own.
The show favourite, 24, took to her real account to warn fans about messages sent out in her name.
"Sorry if anyone has been receiving messages from a fake account this evening," Sophie wrote last night.
"Thankfully I think the account has been taken down but if you do receive any strange messages please report and block.
"Thank you, Soph."
Sophie and her brother Pete were recently named fans' second most loved of all the Gogglebox families in a poll.
They were just beaten to first place by caravan-dwelling best mates Jenny and Lee.
Meanwhile, Sophie recently opened up about losing her job at Debenham's, one of thousands of staff whose jobs were at risk after the store confirmed it was going into liquidation.
"We might be going but we are going with a smile #debenhams," she wrote, displaying characteristic optimism.
She wiped away tears during a recent episode, comforted by Pete as she realised the second lockdown meant non-essential shops would have to close again.
"It's just sad isn't it. It's just s**t for everybody," she sobbed, "it's going to get even worse, more people are going to lose their jobs and things like that, it's just awful."
And Pete recently gave a rare insight into his personal life as he revealed his stunning girlfriend, Paige Yeomans.
"My Mrs and best mate what more could I ask for, don't worry @sophiesandiford1 you are a close second best friend," he joked in the caption.
"This was taken last year FYI."
"Decent, honest lads who make you laugh," one impressed fan gushed, "always get the girl."
"Love you guys so much," chimed in proud sister Sophie.
