Gogglebox star Pete Sandiford was targeted by vile trolls after posting his first ever snap of himself and his stunning girlfriend.
The 26-year-old gave fans an insight into his personal life as he shared a gorgeous picture of himself and his love on Instagram.
But Pete, who appears on the Channel 4 show with his sister Sophie, 24, was sent a string of nasty messages.
Pete and girlfriend Paige Yeomans are both beaming in the picture as they cosy up together.
While they've been together for a year, this is the first time Pete has shared a picture of Paige on his account.
He captioned it: "My Mrs and best mate what more could I ask for, don’t worry @sophiesandiford1 you are a close second best friend
"This was taken last year FYI"
While most people commented on how cute the smitten couple were together, some cruel trolls suggested Pete was punching above his weight.
One wrote: "Jesus christ, batting well above there lad. Congrats."
"The benefits of being on telly," another suggested.
A third wrote: "Punching!!"
But not everyone was so cruel.
One fan penned: "Lucky girl - imagine being with somebody this happy and funny!"
Another hit back at critics: "I don’t know why people feel the need to say he’s punching. But then again people who are like that are only jealous or insecure"
"Cuties," one posted.
While one told those being mean: "Decent, honest lads who make you laugh - always get the girl."
Pete's sister Sophie wrote: "Love you guys so much"
The siblings have been appearing on the show together since 2018 and have become big fan favourites.
They've spoken in the past about how lucky they feel to be part of the show.
Sophie once told The Sun: "We can still pop out for milk, but I can always tell when we're on telly because my phone buzzes with new Twitter followers."
Pete added: "We're still gobsmacked that we’re on the show. A woman came up to me saying me and Soph were ace – when people take the time to do that, it means a lot."
In their day jobs, Pete works in insurance while Sophie is a shop window dresser.
