Gigi Hadid says motherhood is ‘job like no other’ as she returns to work

Gigi Hadid is calling time on her maternity leave and is returning to work two months after welcoming a baby girl with Zayn Malik.

The 25-year-old has declared that there is no job like being a mother but she has decided to return to modelling.

Taking to her Instagram Stories, she said that being a mum is "a job like no other."

She then told her fans that she was looking to return to her day job, writing that she is "back in the office."

Gigi is one of America's top models, walking the runways for the likes of Chanel and Prada before she had her first child.

She will no doubt be welcomed with open arms, though since the start of the coronavirus pandemic and through her pregnancy, Gigi has spent time working behind the camera.

The model has looked to open herself to new possibilities and recently acted as guest editor and creative director of V Magazine.

It was while in this capacity that Gigi gave her first glimpse of her growing baby bump.

She didn't open up about the role though, saying that she felt it was "not the most important thing going on in the world."

At the time, she wanted to enjoy carrying her first child and said: "I just am not rushed to do it, and I feel like right now I just want to experience it, and I write in my journal a lot, and I just don't want to worry about waking up everyday during my pregnancy and like worry about having to like look cute or post something."

Gigi has declared since giving birth in September that her baby daughter is now her "bestie" and had given little glimpses of her babe in arms.

She has not revealed publicly what her daughter's name is and a source explained previously: "Gigi wants the most privacy for their baby and wants to be able to raise her privately."
