Fitness star Joe Wicks piles on the ‘pounds’ as Body Coach brand now worth £6.4million

Lockdown fitness guru Joe Wicks is embracing his new dad bod and has now racked up a fortune of over £6million from his instructional fitness videos on Youtube through his Body Coach brand

Joe Wicks may have embraced his new dad bod but he is in abs-olutely great shape financially – with a worth of over £6million.

The Body Coach fitness guru, 36, has been piling on the pounds (sterling) through his fitness business, latest accounts show.

And he is now worth £6.4million – up £2.8million since 2021.

Joe launched the Body Coach brand in 2015 after working as a personal trainer.

He became a household name during the first national Covid lockdown with his free daily PE lessons and was awarded an MBE.

Devotees can sign up for his £9.99 app to get food and workout plans.

Annual accounts for Joe’s company The Body Coach Nutrition Online value the firm’s intangible assets at £6.4m.

Intangible assets are the star himself, his name and any trademarks and goodwill, and differ from other assets such as property, cash and investments. The firm, which employs 21 ­people, has cash reserves for 2022 of £1.14m and is facing a tax bill of £1.2m.

Joe is estimated to have earned around £15m so far from his workout empire – which includes his Lean in 15 books, TV shows and a tie-in with food firm Gousto.

Having grown up on a council estate in Epsom, Joe now lives in a £4.4m home in Surrey.

He shares the five-bed mansion with his wife Rosie, 32, and children Indie, four, and Marley, two.

The couple are expecting their third child in the coming weeks.

Joe has also written a children’s book – and fronted a documentary about his parents’ mental health battles and how they impacted him.

The HIIT enthusiast spoke to the People last month about becoming less “shredded” and learning to embrace his “dad bod”. He said: “I actually think I’ve got a much better balance now with my food and my training. I’m just happy as I am.”

But judging by social media posts lately, it looks like he’s back in the gym – even recording pregnancy workouts with Rosie.
