Katie Price is taking no chances when it comes to protecting her £2 million home.

The former glamour model has employed security guards to patrol her home and grounds 24 hours a day after a spate of break-ins at her so-called 'mucky mansion'.

Lately, intruders have been on Katie's property not once, but twice.

On July 24, Katie called the police after three men were spotted on her property.

She believes they were trying to break into her mansion before they were chased away by a neighbour.

The men were spotted emerging from her field next to her property before making off in a black BMW.

She told police that the men were questioned by a neighbour and claimed they were looking for a toilet.

But Katie had no time for their excuse.

She said: "They would have literally just driven past the services, so it's an excuse that they're looking for a toilet.

"If they were looking for a toilet, they wouldn't be in the middle of my field.

"They're clearly doing a reccy to see how they can get in."

It came just days after Katie found that intruders had entered her home and flooded her newly-renovated kitchen by leaving taps running upstairs.

She's since said that she believes her property is being targeted.

After the second incident, Katie was filmed calling the police to report it in a video she posted to YouTube.

The mum-of-five said: "Because I had two break-ins about 10 days ago and they literally destroyed my house to bits...the vendetta against me, it's so personal...it's weird that three people have been found in my field.

"No one needs to be in my field, because you need to go across country to get there."

Now, Katie has taken measures to protect her property while she stays in a rental home nearby as construction work is carried out.

Pictures show security guards in place, ready to confront anyone who is trespassing.

A sign on the padlocked gate reads: "All visitors to report to main office. All workers must wear PPE on site at all times."

Signs outside the gate also read "Private property keep out" and "Beware of the dog enter at own risk".

Patrol cars are seen parked alongside Katie's pink Beetle, with guards on hand to protect the property.

Katie's representative told The Sun : "On the advice of the police Katie has upped her security measures to ensure her property is safe from any more unwelcome visitors."

Katie added to the newspaper: "Anyone setting foot on my property will be reprimanded.

"I won't sit by and let these lowlives treat my property as a lucky dip."

It's also said that Katie is building a panic room at her home.
