Television presenter Ellen DeGeneres has tested positive for Covid-19.
The US chat show host, 62, took to social media on Thursday to reveal to her fans her health situation.
Sharing an image of a note on Twitter, Ellen confirmed that she had tested positive for the coronavirus.
Ellen wrote in the note: "Hi everyone, I want to let you all know that I tested positive ofr Covid-19.
Fortunately, I'm feeling fine right now. Anyone who has been in close contact with me has been notified, and I am following all proper CDC guidelines.
"I'll see you all again after the holidays. Please stay health and safe.
"Love, Ellen".
Ellen did not confirm whether her wife and actress Portia de Rossi has tested positive for the virus.
The news comes after a tumultuous year for Ellen as her US talk show has been embroiled in scandal amid reports of a "toxic" work environment.
Following a Warner Bros. inquiry into the show, three of the show's producers were fired, with executive producers Ed Glavin and Kevin Leman and co-executive producer Jonathan Norman all being given the boot from the daytime talk show.
Ellen, one of the most high-profile figures on US TV, apologised to staff after an internal review found "deficiencies related to the show's day-to-day management".
This did not stop the show winning the E! People's Choice Award for Best Daytime Talk Show last month.
In her acceptance speech in Santa Monica in California last November, Ellen said: Thank you, thank you, thank you, from deep, deep down in my heart. I thank you.
"I am not only accepting this award for myself but on behalf of my amazing crew and staff who make the show possible.
"They show up every single day, give 100% of themselves, 100% of the time."
She added: Ellen added: "I love them all; I thank them for what they do every single day."
In an apparent nod to recent drama, Ellen noted: "Thanks for all of my fans for supporting me and sticking by me, I can't tell you how grateful I am and what this means to me, it's more than I could possibly tell you, especially now."
