Under-fire Ellen DeGeneres made a brutal joke about Meghan Markle in a video that has resurfaced online.
The clip came days after the Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced their engagement back in November of 2017.
It has been dragged up after Ellen was accused of 'bullying' Mariah Carey when a video from 2008 reappeared on Twitter.
The Ellen DeGeneres Show has been dogged by allegations about the 'toxic' atmosphere behind the scenes.
The host would 'turn a blind eye' to some of the worst incidents, as well as be difficult to work with herself, it has been claimed.
Now she has been accused of being unkind to Meghan in the build up to the Royal wedding in 2018.
Ellen referenced Meghan’s previous stint as a briefcase model for the game show Deal Or No Deal in the clip that has gone viral.
She said Prince Harry could’ve walked away with millions had he picked a different model.
Ellen explained how Meghan was the “holder of Case 24, which means if Harry had picked the other model, he could’ve gotten a million dollars!”
She then expressed eagerness over an American marrying into the British royal family, saying: "We finally got somebody on the inside, you guys!”
One viewer tweeted: "Probably a bit too close for comfort as well."
But another defended the host, saying: "Are we really calling this bulling too? I hate 2020."
But Ellen and Meghan struck up a friendship in 2012 after an encounter in a pet shelter, which ended with Meghan taking home Bogart, a Labrador-shepherd mix.
Andy Lassner, the executive producer on The Ellen DeGeneres Show has spoken about the "rough" time he has had since the allegations about the 'toxic' atmosphere were exposed.
He out less than two weeks after a spokesperson for Warner Bros. shared the news that fellow producers Ed Glavin and Kevin Leman and co-executive producer Jonathan Norman had "parted ways" with the talk show.
This came about a month after they announced that an internal investigation had been launched into the show.
In the candid video, Andy told his followers: "I'm back. I've been away for a little bit dealing with, you know, some stuff. You may have read about it."
Andy acknowledged that it had been "a couple of rough months."
He continued: "But it's when we go through these things, I guess, that we learn the most about ourselves and maybe even some growth.
