The EastEnders star, who has played the beloved Sharon on the show for many years, was honoured with the Outstanding Achievement Award at the award show and her 2 stone transformation didn't go unnoticed as she headed up on stage.

A third said: " Letitia Dean looks stunning."

After trying a range of diets that didn't suit her, with her in the past saying she had tried "the cabbage soup diet, the Atkins and a really disgusting eggs-only diet", Letitia took on a new approach.

With her new reduced calorie intake, the 54-year-old focused on "healthy food" to get her to her goal.

She said that she would eat pitta bread, lots of greens and grilled, skinless chicken breast. Letitia claimed to find herself feeling more energised from this type of food.

She said: "I found I had so much more energy than when I used to eat junk food."

Although Letitia's incredible physique drew in plenty of attention, it was her speech that left viewers moved and talking.

When the EastEnders icon was named as the winner of the coveted Outstanding Achievement Award, the crowd erupted into cheers for the star.

Her former on-screen mum, Anita Dobson, handed her her award and spoke about the support Letitia had provided to her on her first day on set.

Letitia said: "It's been over 30 odd years now since I started and I got cast for my dirty laugh, if you remember.

"Hopefully I'm still carrying that on! I love you all, so much, my lovely cast members as well, and all the crew. You all know who you are."

"But seriously, thank you guys. I'm not very good at all this public speaking but I do love you all and thank you so much the way you love me and look after me. Thank you."
