Jake Woods has marked the news that he's leaving EastEnders by posting a sweet tribute to his wife.
The soap star, 48, took to his Instagram account on Wednesday morning to wish his other half Alison a happy birthday.
It comes after it was announced that Max Branning will be leaving Walford for good after 15 years in the BBC soap.
In his picture, Jake and Alison were sitting in what appeared to be a private jet as she sipped on a glass of bubbly.
Jake sat in the plane seat in front of her as he snapped the picture of the two of them with huge grins on their faces.
"Happy birthday beautiful @alisonrwood46," Jake captioned the sweet post.
"I couldn't imagine a life without you."
He finished the caption with two red love heart emojis for his wife of 19 years.
On Wednesday the BBC announced that Jake is leaving EastEnders.
Bosses have written a major new storyline that would see Max leave the show, but the door is being kept open for a future return.
An EastEnders source confirmed the news to Mirror online on Wednesday, teasing what was to come on the BBC soap.
An insider said "Sometimes in soap land big characters have to leave.
"Bosses are staying tight lipped about what they have planned for Max but considering he has played a major part in the show for over fifteen years they are clearly planning something big and he will not be departing Walford quietly.
"Everyone will be sad to see Jake go as he is not only a great person to have on set but he’s also a fantastic actor."
