Dean Gaffney criticised by EastEnders co-star for partying in Ibiza
EastEnders' Dean Gaffney has been slammed by his co-star Jamie Borthwick for partying in Ibiza while 'thousands are dying a day' due to the coronavirus pandemic
EastEnders' Dean Gaffney has been called out on social media by his co-star Jamie Borthwick for partying in Ibiza as the coronavirus pandemic continues to take lives.
The actor uploaded a snap with his pals as they are living their best lives on the Spanish island, but it didn't quite sit right with Jamie.
""Never alone ☀️," Dean penned next to the image, where there was no social distancing in sight.
During an awkward exchange which broke out in front of his followers, Jamie commented: "Accept at party's surrounded by onlyfans girls when there's 1k dying a day." [sic]
Meanwhile, Michael Greco, who also used to star in the BBC soap, broke up the Instagram feud, writing: "Although it's Except not Accept," alongside laughing emojis.
Jamie penned back to Michael: "Haha Grecs is right, Borths miles off it."
While Dean joked: "Haha LOVE this Grecs love this! Touché Jamie x."
It's believed Jamie, 26, was referring to a booze-fuelled boat party Dean attended with his Celebs Go Dating pal Joshua Ritchie, according to The Sun.
At the time, Josh shared a snap on Instagram of the pair enjoying their break.
He wrote: "What a week we have had @deangaffney1 to manny more of them."
Dean is among a host of other celebrities who have travelled to Spain recently, and will need to quarantine for 14 days when they return to the UK.
So far, more than 46,000 people have died from the coronavirus in the UK.
Mirror Online has contacted Dean's rep for comment.
